In Vitro 1H NMR Metabolic Profiles of Liver, Brain, and Serum in Rats After Chronic Consumption of Alcohol

Abstract The impact of alcohol on the body can be investigated with NMR spectroscopy in vitro , which detect a wide range metabolites but preparing samples includes tissue biopsy. Blood sampling is less invasive, blood metabolic content might not reflect changes occurring other tissues. Thus, this study aimed to investigate liver, brain, and serum metabolism evaluate link between tissues content. Two experimental groups ten outbred rats each were provided intragastrically water (control group) 50% ethanol solution (alcohol for 28 days. 1 H was performed brain cortex, samples.
